The XLP (Extra Low Pressure) series is a type of ultra-low pressure aromatic polyamide composite membrane element developed by Times Water Company for desalination of surface water and groundwater. It can achieve high water flux and high desalination rates under extremely low operating pressure conditions, comparable to conventional low-pressure membranes. Its operating pressure is about half that of conventional low-pressure composite membranes, thereby reducing the investment costs of related equipment such as pumps, pipelines, and containers, as well as the operating costs of reverse osmosis systems, thus improving economic efficiency. The XLP series membrane elements are suitable for treating low-salinity water sources with less stringent desalination requirements, such as surface water, groundwater, tap water, and municipal water with salinity levels below 000 ppm, and are particularly suitable for the second stage of two-stage reverse osmosis desalination.
