The XLP (Extra Low Pressure) series is a type of ultra-low pressure aromatic polyamide composite membrane element developed by Times Water Company for desalination of surface water and groundwater. It can achieve high water flux and high desalination rates under extremely low operating pressure conditions, comparable to conventional low-pressure membranes. Its operating pressure is about half that of conventional low-pressure composite membranes, thereby reducing the investment costs of related equipment such as pumps, pipelines, and containers, as well as the operating costs of reverse osmosis systems, thus improving economic efficiency. The XLP series membrane elements are suitable for treating low-salinity water sources with less stringent desalination requirements, such as surface water, groundwater, tap water, and municipal water with salinity levels below 000 ppm, and are particularly suitable for the second stage of two-stage reverse osmosis desalination.

Understanding Nanofiltration: A Gentle Approach to Water Purification

In the world of water purification, the NF membrane occupies a special role. Standing between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, this technology offers a balanced approach to cleaning water. Unlike methods that remove virtually all dissolved substances, the NF membrane operates with a degree of selectivity. Its primary function is to effectively filter out a wide range of contaminants, including many organic substances, microorganisms, and various metal ions, while intentionally allowing some beneficial minerals to pass through. This makes the NF membrane a highly versatile and valuable tool across many industries.
