An Ultrapure Water Project in Changsha

The feed water for the membrane system of an ultrapure water project in Changsha sources from the effluent of the front-end 2B3T, with a conductivity of less than 1μs/cm. The process requires that the total effluent TOC is less than 40ppb, and silicon content in the feed water is about 50ppb. Using VONTRON LE440-UE to replace membrane elements of a competitor, a single system with 138 elements achieved high water production, all above 200m³/h, with average water production capacity of 1.45m³/h for a single membrane, low effluent conductivity, and good operational conditions.
