Project Summary

The project is involved in the ultrapure water industry, which requires an extreme low organic content,  and a conductivity between 0.1 and 0.055 μS/cm. By contrast, the domestic standard GB33087-2016 requires that the resistivity of ultrapure water be at least 18 MΩ·cm (25°C).

System Introduction
The onsite system was completed and commenced operation at the end of 2020.  It includes 12 sets of ultrapure water RO systems, each configured in a (18:5) × 6 arrangement; totaling 1,656 membrane elements, of which 486 are VONTRON membranes, with a designed recovery rate of 90% and a production rate of ≥200m3/h per set.

Performance
The company purchased 486 LE440-UE RO membrane elements in October 2023, wherein the removal rate of the whole process requires process effluent T0C of less than 50ppb, and a water production capacity of over 1.4 tons per hour for single membrane flux. So far, both water production capacity and desalination rate have reached the designed system value, achieving good system performance.
