Urban Wastewater Reuse Project of a Steel Plant in Tianjin


Focusing on the recycling of reclaimed water, a steel plant in Tianjin cooperated with VONTRON to carry out a reclaimed water reuse project. The raw water is municipal sewage. The project established a four-stage membrane concentration system, which fully uses VONTRON membrane elements, including ultrafiltration membranes, anti-pollution brackish water RO membranes, nanofiltration membranes, and ultra-high pressure RO membranes, with a scale of 50,000 m³/d and a total recovery rate of more than 96%. As a large-scale near-zero discharge project using full membrane technology for wastewater, this project fully demonstrates the exemplary role of membrane separation solutions for water resource recycling, effectively alleviating the contradiction between supply and demand in water resource usage.
